I’m a huge fan of the Blade Runner franchise. It was on tv one day, and I wanted to see if i could make a comparable world. A world I could walk around, feel the heavy air, step on the wet roads, feel the pressure of a dense, overpopulated city and the weight of an oppressive environment.
For this project, I explored mixing atmosphere and ground clouds. I also wanted to see how fast I could build up this world. The main wide shot was developed in two hours and the rest took under 8 hours, spread over a couple of days in between work projects. While i loved the wide shot, I also wanted to develop a small area that had a hint of Ghost in the Shell, which you can see from the wide shot. I also used an xray materials technique that I had been using for automotive projects.
I used Kitbash3D’s Brutalist kit and mixed in some cyberpunk. The actors are from BigMediumSmall’s cyberpunk kit.
I designed the entire project in C4D and rendered in Redshift.
This is a personal project. NO generative AI was used in the making of this render.
