I was reached out by the good folks at Knock.app to create three videos for the launch of their new features. They initially just wanted one hype video, but after seeing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of my work, the client chose to expand the project from one video to three. We had only 3 weeks to create all three videos, and I was able to deliver all three videos early.

We went through several iterations of the video over the course of the project. They were initially inspired by videos they’ve seen from Frame.io, so the first iteration had lots of gradients and 2.5D effects.

First Iteration:

I loved this iteration because it was a really good blend of 2D and 3D elements and I loved the gradients, but ultimately the client decided to go with colors closer to the new design of their site, and a much slower vibe in the music. It was a big departure from the original version both in tone and style, but ultimately the client was happy with the final result. Also, the first client ever to tell me, “Make the logo smaller!”

Final Iteration:

The two other pieces match the same style and tone of the final video, and I was happy with the result.
